Preparation Time 2 MINUTES
Cooking Time 10 MINUTES
Difficulty Very Easy
Servings 1 fillet per person

Ingredients

1 fresh Salmon fillet per person
Rapeseed (Canola) Oil or Olive Oil to drizzle over the fillets
Sea Salt and Pepper freshly ground

Simple, healthy and ready in minutes.

  1. Preheat the oven to 200˚C.
  2. Put the fillets on a baking tray.  I cover mine with foil so there is less cleaning up to do.
  3. Drizzle a little oil (either Rapeseed or Olive Oil) over the fillets and grind over some pepper and sea salt.

  4. Bake for 10-12 minutes.  The salmon is cooked when the top of the fillets is golden and when the flesh is opaque.  Test that the salmon is cooked through by inserting a knife into the fattest part of the fillet and gently pulling the flesh back a little to check that it is also opaque.  I like my salmon only just cooked through so err towards the 10 minute mark.  The fillets will continue to cook for a little when you take them out of the oven.

Perfect served hot or cold with salad or vegetables or flaked and mixed with some mayonnaise on crusty bread.
